9/10/99 - We're extremely excited to announce the release of Misc. Records second CD - TONK's The Fences Show. The Fences Show is now available at our secure online store. TONK is an incredible multi-national combination of Rock, Avant-Garde (jazz and classical), Theater, Dance and Poetry -- performed their newest collaborative event The Fences Show as part of the Music At The Anthology series New York's Anthology Film Archives in February. Right afterwards we got them into Studio G (in Brooklyn) and recorded excerpts from the show. The Fences Show received it's European premiere on September 10th at the Gaudeamus festival in Amsterdam.

8/9/99 - We're happy to announce the addition of HOSS to the MiscRecords Artist list and his CD, Advertures of Freddy to our online store. The album is ambitious and adventurous, with a vibrant diversity and subversive sense of humor, Adventures of Freddy, is truly indescribable. Playing everything from electric guitar to big metal light fixture HOSS produces an amazing and amusing sonic tapestry, leaving very few corners of rock history unexplored. 8/2/99 - We're thrilled to announce the addition of Kari Newhouse to the MiscRecords Artist list and her CD, Playing Juliet, to our online store. Kari is a distinctive songwriter with a smooth powerful voice and a rockin' backup band. She's got quite a following on the Detroit and Chicago club scenes. You can catch her and the band at Lilith Fair at Pine Knob Music Theater on Aug. 15th.

7/10/99 - We're pleased to announce that we recently acquired the internet distribution rights to part of the Insatiable Records catalog... specifically three cd's by the NY trio, ZAK. The music is some of the best of the genre recently dubbed "Americana". Here's what Kelly Lockmer of the Woodstock Times had to say:

"With a base mixture of Albin's guitar ans Zoe's accordion, and a blend of country style and city attitude, they create their own genre. Influence seems to have come form the simple structures of early rock, folk's soul-searching sensibilities, country & western's lack of pretension and a modern rock hard beat. ZAK takes its cues from no trend or fad, intent on staying true to the band's own vision and goals."

5/15/99 - We're pleased to announce the release of our first record... Bruce Bielawa's Greetings From No Return, a alternative acoustic album with complex and compelling songs that sound something like Dave Mathews Band blended with Sound Garden and REM, except acoustic (really!). It's been very well received so far. Also, we completed the preliminary recording for Bruce's next album at the end of June and we're very excited about the record. Bruce really outdid himself on these songs. Look for it's release in late 2000.
